WEEKLY UPDATES:
2011
Saturday April 30, 2011
Tonight Josh was racing in Altus, Oklahoma. During practice Cournoyer was fast off the truck but was still complaining about "pushing through the center and lose off." Josh and his crew knew they needed too fix the push in the center which would also help the loose off. During the heat, starting outside second row, Josh got an excellent jump on the third place truck and was able too get down going into turn one. Coming out of turn two he was on the leaders back bumper. Josh tried going too the inside of the leader with around two to go but was cut off resulting in s second place finish in the heat. Starting the feature the track decided too invert the finishing of the heat races meaning Josh had a long way too go starting on the last row. He also knew that he would have a little time with it being 50 laps. Taking the green the two leaders got together and Cournoyer backed way off trying too not get caught up in the beat and banging that was going on. The caution never came out and Josh was behind from slowing up too avoid any damage. Knowing he had too get going but save his equipment at the same time. Lap after lap Cournoyer was moving up, when the first caution came out he had made it up too third place where he would struggle too get by the second place driver. On the last lap going into turn three Josh was finally about too make the pass but ran out of time too catch the leader. After the race Josh was very pleased with the performance of his 41 Bud Freeman, Patriot Signs Chevorlet. Josh's next race will be 5/14/2011 at Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls.

Saturday March 26, 2011
Tonight was opening night for Josh and the USST trucks running at Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Tx. Not only is this Josh's home track but its also a track he has a lot of experience on and many wins in different series. Since it was the first race of the season all the driver had too pill draw. Josh drew number 3 which meant he would start up front in the heat but would start last in the feature. Starting outside from row Cournoyer took no time taking the lead as the green flag dropped and never let up winning the heat. Josh didn't have much too say over the radio except "we need too get through the center and off the corner better". In the feature he was starting at the back, when they took the green flag it was double file for couple laps than everyone fell in line except for Cournoyer determined to get the high side too come in and work for him. On lap 5 there was the first caution due too a spin on the track. Josh was in fourth when the commitment cone came out and everyone stayed low because this track was known for being a one grooved track. Josh knew that if he could get the high line too hold for a lap or so he could get around the leader and check out, so Cournoyer chose the high line and would be starting outside front row. Taking the green Josh and the 14 truck were door too door down the front strech, he drove it deep in the corner and it stuck. Coming out of turn two Josh had him clear. The rest of the race went caution free and Cournoyer wins in his 41 Bud Freeman Construction, Patriot Signs Chevrolet.

2010
Winter Nationals in Wichita Falls, Texas. Saturday October the 16th  Josh was planning on Having another great run in his hometown. After  practice Friday night Josh and his dad decided too change a few things  during Saturdays hot laps. After the hot laps Cournoyer decided to put  the truck back how it was during Fridays practice, because they lost a  couple tenths with the change. During the heat race Saturday Josh  started outside second row. Not wanting too tear up the truck or push the issue Josh settled for a third place finish in the heat. In the 75 lap feature event Cournoyer was having too start dead last of the people that have points due too the win last race. By lap ten he was in third place and for the next 50 laps first second and third place couldn't be seperated. Bumper to bumper when the caution came out due too a spin in turn two. On the restart Josh was inside second row and was able too stay behind the leader and take over second place. After another caution for a spin, the restart came out and there was a crash taking the green with two trucks including the leader. When everything was cleaned up Cornoyer had the lead and never looked back, leading the last ten laps taking the win at Red River Speedway. Next race for Josh is the Spooker Nationals in Altus, Oklahoma October 30th and 31st.

Sept 5-6,2010
Labor day shootout in Altus, Oklahoma is where Cournoyer made his mark. Saturday night was just a couple practice heat races too put on a show for the fans. The 41 McKinney Auto Glass, Bud Freeman Construction was fast right out of the trailer. In the heats Saturday he finished second in both just saving the truck for the 75 lap feature Sunday. After a few quick hot laps Cournoyer and his crew made a couple last minute changes. In the feature starting inside 5th row, Josh knew there was plenty of time and to just miss all the wrecks. On lap one Josh was sent threw the infield due to another truck coming down on him resulting in a right front flat. After his crew got him back out there he was complaining of the truck not turning like it was. Josh was restarting in 13th place and was making good ground untill the competion yellow came out. Now the crews were able to have three minutes too do what they needed. Cournoyer came over the radio and said no chassis adjustments just fuel and check the steering. The truck had and inch and a half toe in resulting from the lap one incident. Going back too green Josh was outside second row still buying time untill it was time too move. With 20 laps remaining Josh jumped to the outside of the leader an made it stick taking over the lead. He lead ten laps but looked like he had made his move too fast beacuse second place drove off in the corner and got back by him. There was a caution with four laps remaining and Josh had another chance choosing the outside line on the restart. Green flag came out and Cournoyer never looked back bringing home his first year of the year for his McKinney Auto Glass, Bud Freeman Construction Chevrolet.

Aug 30-31, 2010

This weekend was very special not only for Josh but for his crew as well. They were running at Nashville Superspeedway, in Nashville, Tennesse. This was there first time on a track that was a mile and a third. Friday was just practice and Josh got as much as he could untill he noticed something was wrong with the motor. When he got it back too the garage his crew found the problem, two bent valves. Josh and his crew worked through the night getting the #41 McKinney Auto Glass, Bud Freeman Construction Chevrolet running.

Saturday was a short practice and the main 50 lap feature. With more problems with the motor they had to go back through it once again just getting done in time for qualifying. Josh qualified 14th at 36.33 seconds and 136 mph. In the feature Josh was a little upset when ten laps in the motor let go. He wanted too run good, too be able too repay his dad and his crew for all there hard work this weekend, but overall he was happy for his first time on a track that big.

a few hot laps Josh knew he was in for a long night. The #41 McKinney Auto Glass, Bud Freeman Construction Chevrolet was having motor problems. Josh was able to salvage a second place finish in the heat. Not able too do much to fix the truck, His crew did there best too get a setup under the truck too help out. In the feature he started at the rear like normal and just wasn't able too get much going with the motor laying down. Josh was able too bring home a 6th place finish. Moving him into second in the points.

Saturday July 31, 2010
Josh was running his new truck after major changes him and his crew made after the last time they ran it. In the heat Josh started outside second row and made up a couple spots but ended up short finishing second in his heat. Made a few adjustments to help Josh get through the center of the corner better. Starting the feature Josh had too start at the rear of the field once again because of his high point average. The green flag came out of the 50 lap feature and Cournoyer started too make his move. When a caution came out Josh was up too fourth, when the commitment cone came out and he jumped too the outside of the leader. Taking the green flag he was able too get a jump on the leader and was a nose ahead going into turn one. The leader pushed up into Josh and he dropped back too third. Josh made up one more position and finished second.

Saturday July 24, 2010
Tonight Josh is racing in his hometown of Wichita Falls, Texas. The trucks were off today so Josh decided to run his super stock as well as the mod 4. After hot lapping both cars josh was extremely happy with how they were both driving. Before the heat race they decided to tighten up the super stock to help Josh get off the corner. In the heat races josh started on the pole in both cars. Josh was able to take the lead and never looked back and won both heats in the mod 4 and the super stock. Josh talked to his dad about where he was faster than the other cars and where he was loosing ground, before the feature events. After gaining more knowledge from his dad, Josh knew what he needed to do to bring home a couple wins. Before the features Josh ran a dash for cash which was only 5 laps. Starting outside second row Josh knew it was going to be tough getting to the front in only five laps. When the green flag came out Josh made a move in turn two to put him in second place. Going into three he was pushing very hard to take the lead which he took coming out of turn four of the first lap. Josh went on to win the dash for cash. In the feature Josh started pole once again in the mod 4, Josh took the win and lead every lap. In the super stock he started outside front row, Josh was able to get an awesome start and take over the top spot and lead every lap. Bringing home a win in the Bud Freeman Construction Super Stock and Jackson Motorsports Mod 4.

Saturday June 19, 2010
Josh was running his USST truck in Wichita Falls. Once again since he has a high point average he will be starting toward the end of the field. When the green flag dropped Josh made up many positins around the bottom of the track. Within the first ten laps Josh was up to third, and pushing hard to get around second place. Josh ran so close to second place that his truck started to overheat because there wasn't any air flow to the front of his truck. With the truck very hott Josh had to back off to try and get his truck cooled off. Doing this resulted in Josh losing two spots, he tried making another running at fourth place but just ran out of laps. Josh was happy with his fifth place finish for the 41 McKinney Auto Glass, Bud Freeman Construction, and Patriot Signs Chevrolet.

Saturday June 5, 2010
Tonight Josh was getting to run in his home town, in Wichita Falls, Texas. USST came out with a new rule this year which decided that they would line up by the person with the most points per night average to start on the rear. So there were two heat races and a 50 lap feature. In the heat race Josh started outside 2nd row. At the start of the race the outside line jammed up and Josh fail back a few positions, he was able to make up many positions and finished 2nd. Due to his high points per night average Josh was starting fourth row outside. When he took the green flag his focus was to stay towards the back and stay out of trouble for the most of the 50 lap feature. He made up a couple positions and started to move forward when he got behind the 31 truck when his engine let go, resulting in oil on the track and Josh stuck in the middle of a 5 car pile up in turn one. With the red flag out Josh brought the truck to the pits, where his crew work hard getting it back together. Josh was able to get back on the track in time to get the restart at the end of the field. With an eventful rest of the race Josh made up many positions and was very happy to be able to finish 3rd for the 41 McKinney Auto Glass, Patriot Signs, and Bud Freeman Construction Chevrolet.

Memorial Weekend 2010
Josh was racing this weekend the 28th, 29th, and 30th in Altus, Oklahoma. He was running his USST Truck, Friday night was just practice. After a few runs Josh and his crew were very happy with the
truck and parked it untill Saturday for the heat races that would line him up Sunday evening for a 75 lap feature. In the first heat he started outside front row and was able to get a great jump on the start to take the lead and never looked back to win the first heat. Second heat Josh started outside third row, for a couple laps everyone ran side by side and he had no where to go, with the laps counting down he was able to make up some positions finishing third. In the 75 lap feature Josh and his crew knew they needed to work on the truck to keep it from getting to tight at the end of the run. In the feature Josh was outside front row with his teamate inside of him. Before they were able to get started the track had a dice row determining how many rows were inverted. They rolled a 2 which put Josh outside second row. When the green flag was dropped Josh got to the bottom of the track as fast as he could before he was stuck on the outside. Lap 50 he was in third and knowing the laps were counting down he made a couple looks under second place but wasn't able to pull off the pass. Around lap 70 Josh made one last chance and was able to pull aside second place, but being pinched down and a tight truck Josh had to back off and bring home a solid third place finish for the 41 mckinney auto glass, bud freemon construction, and patriot sign chevrolet.

They made a few adjustments to tighten Josh up getting off the corner. In the feature he started outside second row, after a few laps nose to tell Josh made it work on the high side when the was contact, resulting in the 24 car to get by. The next 15 laps Josh was pushing really hard to bring home a win but wasn't able to get by the 24 car. Bringing home a second place finish!
